USA Basketball Notes

Gold Medal: 2014 FIBA Americas U18 Championship.

  • Member of the 2014 USA U18 National Team that compiled a 5-0 record, won the FIBA Americas U18 Championship gold medal and qualified the U.S. for the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship; averaged 12.0 ppg. and a team second-best 5.6 apg.

College Notes

  • Remains undecided about which college he will attend, but lists eight finalists including, University of Connecticut, University of Illinois, University of Kansas, University of Michigan, Michigan State University, Purdue University, Temple University and Villanova University.

  • Attends Adlai E. Stevenson High School (Ill.), where in 2013-14 he helped lead the Patriots to a 32-2 record and a third-place finish in the Illinois High School Association Class 4A state tournament.
  • The 32 wins marked the most wins in a season in school history.
  • As a junior in 2013-14, averaged 26.1 ppg., 5.4 rpg. and 4.7 apg., while starting all 34 games for the Patriots.
  • Scored 18 points in the 2014 state consolation game.

  • Both mother (volleyball) and father (basketball) were Divison I collegiate student-athletes at Temple University. Father went on to play in the NBA for nine years, spending time with the Portland Trail Blazers, the New York Knicks, the Chicago Bulls and the Los Angeles Clippers.

  • Chris Paul was his favorite player of the 2012 U.S. Olympic Men’s Basketball Team.
