USA Basketball Notes

Gold Medal: 2014 FIBA Americas U18 Championship.

  • Member of the 2014 USA U18 National Team that compiled a 5-0 record, won the FIBA Americas U18 Championship gold medal and qualified the U.S. for the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship; averaged a team second-best 13.8 ppg. and finished 15-for-29 from beyond the arc for a 51.7 shooting percent from the 3-point line. Scored a championship-high 30 points in the USA's first game against Uruguay on June 20, 2014.

  • Names Kevin Durant as his favorite Olympian and basketball player of all time because, “He is very competitive, knows how to win and is a good teammate.”
  • Also plays for Franklin’s football team and was named the 2013 Ohio Division II Offensive Player of the Year after throwing for 2,331 yards and 26 touchdowns and rushing for 214 yards and four touchdowns.
  • Shoots the basketball left-handed, but throws the football right-handed.
  • Is unsure of what he will be majoring in college, but lists science as his favorite subject in school.
