Justin Dentmon scored 12 points to help lead the USA over the Dominican Republic in the Pan American Games bronze medal game.

Behind a balanced scoring effort that saw all 12 USA players score, including five in double digits, the USA menís team persevered and fought to a well earned 94-92 bronze medal game victory over the Dominican Republic Sunday at the CODE Dome.

ďIím excited about this. Itís our first medal since 1999 and Iím really proud of our guys for bouncing back after a tough loss yesterday and coming out and playing hard this morning,Ē said USA coach Nate Tibbetts.

In an offensive game that saw the two teams combine to score 186 points, the gameís outcome was decided by a defensive stop by the American squad.

Neither team could establish the upper hand in the contest. The USAís largest lead on the day was eight, while the Dominican Republicís biggest advantage was four.
